Flint Energies and Conexon Connect Partner to Provide Broadband to Rural Georgia

Flint Energies and Conexon Connect have announced a $90 million project to deploy a 3,000-mile fiber network in middle Georgia. The project is made possible through a combination of grants and significant investments by the two companies. Work is set to begin immediately and finish in 2026.

FCC Announces Additional Funding for Rural Broadband Expansion

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approved another $700 million in winning bids to be authorized through the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund this week, which funding will go to 50 broadband providers for projects in 26 states. Georgia EMC Partners to Expand Broadband

Washington EMC, a Georgia electric cooperative, will form a new partnership with Conexon Connect to provide high-speed fiber internet to more than 12,000 homes and businesses in 10 middle Georgia counties. Georgia’s Governor Brian Kemp was on site in Washington County, Georgia to make the announcement.
