Central Electric Power Cooperative’s Shift to Duke Energy Makes Santee Cooper Rethink Stake in Nuclear Reactors

In 2009, Santee Cooper’s biggest customer, Central Electric Power Cooperative, announced plans to shift 1,000 MW of its load to Duke Energy beginning in 2013.  The Post & Courier reports that Santee Cooper is now seeking to cut the utility’s interest in two new nuclear reactors.
