Northwest G&T Cooperative, PNCG Power, Announces Plans for 600 MW Combined-Cycle Natural Gas Facility
PNGC Power, the Northwest’s only generation and transmission cooperative, has announced plans to build a nearly 600 MW combined-cycle natural gas plant in Idaho – in partnership with Kindle Energy – targeting a 2032 online date to meet the region’s rising electricity demand. The state-of-the-art facility will be designed for up to 50% hydrogen blending and is intended to provide reliable, affordable, on-demand generation that helps shield cooperative members from market volatility as load growth, hydro variability, and plant retirements reshape the regional power landscape.
